Upper Springfield / Whiterock Hub

Our Family Support Hub has been based in Whiterock Child and Family Centre since 2014 and was one of the first hubs in Belfast. Carol is our Hub Coordinator.

We believe “we are only as good as the services around the table” and are extremely proud of the multi-agency network of statutory, community and voluntary organisations that make up our hub.

At the time of writing this our hub is made up of 35 associate member and 25 core members that either provide early intervention services or work with families who need early intervention services.

Our Family support hub provides early intervention family support services to vulnerable families and children aged 0-18. This is a tier 2 service.

The Specific Purpose Of Our Hub:

To improve access to early intervention family Support services by matching the needs of referred families to family support providers.

To improve coordination of early intervention family support services by creating a collaborative network of community, voluntary and statutory providers.

To improve awareness of early intervention family support services. To assess the level of unmet need for early intervention family support services and inform the Trust Outcomes Group Hubs believe in helping families to develop the skills to help themselves.

The uniqueness about Our Hub is that it looks at the needs of families and work to match families’ needs to the best possible service or services that can help.]

We direct families to the services they need. This can be a service provided by a Hub member or a service provided by an organisation not directly involved with the Hub but associated with it.
